This course provides Early Years Educators with the fundamentals of safe sleep and settling best practice, in an Early Childhood Education and Care setting.
This course will take approximately 2 hours to complete and covers:
:: An overview of social and emotional development in infants and toddlers and how this can impact sleep.
:: Evidence-based information on how to create a safe sleeping environment.
:: Guidance on Risk assessments and physical sleep checks.
:: Collaboration with families and how to manage common requests related to sleep.
:: Understanding individual sleep and rest needs and managing common sleep challenges.
:: Managing sleep transitions including step-by-step guides to settling babies and toddlers.
Participants have 90 days to complete the course from the date of enrolment.

Will I receive a Certificate of Completion?
Yes. On successful completion of the course, participants will be issued with a Certificate of Completion.
Does the course include safe sleeping guidelines?
Yes. The course covers the six key steps to sleep baby safely and sleep environment safety including, guidance and recommendations for risk assessments and physical sleep checks.
Can I complete the Fundamentals course if I haven’t previously completed any of the courses in the Sleep Smart series?
Yes. While this course has primarily been designed as an annual refresher for those who have previously completed our Birth to Three Course Bundle, it also provides an excellent foundation, for those looking to go on and complete our full course series at a later date.
How long do I have access to the course material?
Your access to the course is for 90 days. You must complete the training within this timeframe as access cannot be extended without repurchase.
Do you offer group discounts?
Yes. We offer a 10% discount for 5-9 educators and a 15% discount for 10+ educators. We also offer further discounts for multi centre services. Contact us to learn more and to take advantage of our group discounts.
